Sound Waves to Kill Pirates Attacking Cruise Ships

Cruise ships, in recent times, are the ideal venue for spending your vacations in comfort and enjoyment for all classes of people. As a result, they have been gaining popularity greatly. So, with the growing popularity of spending your vacation in these cruise ships, one of the important factors which needs to be considered is the attack of pirates.Did you know that by the end of the year most cruise ships will arrange for harmonic direction frequency wave devises to retaliate against pirates which try to attack them? Yes, it is true, and even more important in this connection, is that the pirates will not be able to determine which of the cruise have that facility. This fantastic new technology has been devised to protect passengers and crew, more importantly large cruise ships which worth upwards of half a billion dollars. It is true that pirate attacks and the threat of piracy are terrifying to passengers and crews aboard luxury liners, smaller recreation boats, yachts, commercial fishing vessels, as well as the big freighters. The threat of today, has threatened the enjoyable vacation in cruising, a terrific one. In order to check in piracy, thereby making cruising a pleasure, the Cruising companies has adopted some counter-pirating technologies. These counter pirating technologies can be summarized according to the following:

• Long Range Acoustic Devices (commonly known as LRADs) – essentially a “sonic cannon” will be used to beam extremely loud streams of non-lethal noise
at the attacking pirates. Sonic cannon are highly effective. It was used by U.S. ground forces to clear buildings in Iraq, and were also employed with great success
against pirates off Somalia in November 2005 (I’ll get to that in a moment).

•High-voltage electrical fences have been implemented to fix along ships‘ railings as impediment or barriers which put a hindrance to the attacking pirates.
• Devices, which are capable of beaming bowel-movement will induce sound waves in the direction of attacking pirates. May be the sound will be odd but it will work effectively.
• Metal and explosives detectors will be extensively used in the cruiseships. These are used to prevent the would-be insiders who might slip weapons or explosive materials in cruise ships for providing assistance to externally attacking pirates.

• Powerful foaming agents and extreme glues will be sprayed onto decks prior to a boarding by pirates.
• Searchlights will be arranged I plenty to glance over the seas at night.
• Fire-hoses to repel boarders.
• Unmanned aerial vehicles (commonly called UAVs) will be equipped in the Cruiseships. These are pilotless aircraft and will be fitted with powerful cameras.

This facility will be launched from ships in order to provide shipboard security teams with “real-time” photograph of approaching pirate vessels.

The Cruising companies have determined to arrange all this facilities by the end of the year to provide a security thereby making cruising a happy experience
